By accessing and using Remove BG (“Service”), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

Remove BG is a free, browser-based AI tool that removes backgrounds from images. All processing occurs locally in your browser using WebAssembly technology. No images are transmitted to or stored on our servers — your images remain entirely on your device and are never accessed by us. We are committed to respecting your privacy. The service is provided “as is” without any guarantees of uptime or availability.

3. Permitted Use

You may use Remove BG for personal and commercial purposes, including:

• Removing backgrounds from your own photographs

• Creating product images for e-commerce

• Creating marketing materials

• Personal creative projects

4. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Process images you do not own or have rights to

• Process, create, or distribute illegal, obscene, or harmful content

• Process images of individuals without their consent in violation of applicable laws

• Create deepfakes or misleading imagery designed to deceive

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or create derivative works of the Service

• Use the Service for any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations

• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Service's infrastructure

5. Intellectual Property

You retain all ownership rights to images you process using our Service. By using Remove BG, you confirm that you have the necessary rights, licenses, or permissions to process the images. The Remove BG software, design, and all associated intellectual property are owned by us. The underlying AI model is provided by IMG.LY under their respective license.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce perfect results for all images.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL REMOVE BG, ITS OPERATORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED €100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Remove BG and its operators from any claims, damages, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

9. Third-Party Services

Our Service may include third-party services such as Google Analytics and Google AdSense. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
